Looking for Volunteers

The Hawai‘i National Guard (HING) is looking to our retired members to volunteer your time in support of our department’s State mission.

The State Department of Defense continues to prepare and train to respond to natural and man-made disasters.  Large events like hurricanes and tsunamis would initiate sustained 24/7 operations if there is large-scale storm damage.  Our support requirements have increased over the years; leaving less Guard members to staff in-garrison functions.  Exercises have shown a definite need for more staffing to sustain long-term 24/7 operations within the Guard and State Civil Defense.

Our Guard retirees have the expertise and experience to help staff in-garrison functions.  We are looking for your support.
