The Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home – Hilo built by the people of Hawaii to honor members of her military community and provide for their health and welfare in recognition of their distinguished service to our country.

The Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home – Hilo, is Hawaii’s only post-acute care and rehabilitation service provider specifically designed to serve the special needs of Veterans. Located in picturesque Hilo, Hawaii our community features dedicated short-term rehabilitation services, residential long-term placement, as well as an active Adult Day Health Care Program. As the only state Veterans Home in Hawaii we are proud to serve our county’s finest.

In addition to rehabilitation services, Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home is designed to care for your medical conditions through personalized, 24-hour skilled nursing care provided by licensed clinical specialists and therapists. With oversight and coordination with physicians and nurse practitioners, our teams work hand-in-hand to provide compassionate quality care.
