Walter Kaneakua has left Senator Mazie Hirono’s staff, where he served as the Assistant for Military Affairs.  Earlier, he served in the same capacity for Senator Daniel Inouye for many years until the senator’s passing.  He has always been a strong advocate of military initiatives, especially those involving the Hawaii National Guard.
