General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

Air Force General Herbert J. Carlisle has been nominated for appointment to the rank of general and for assignment as commander, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Carlisle is currently serving as commander, Pacific Air Forces; air component commander for U.S. Pacific Command; and executive director, Pacific Air Combat Operations Staff, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

Air Force Lieutenant General Lori J. Robinson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of general and for assignment as commander, Pacific Air Forces; air component commander for U.S. Pacific Command; and executive director, Pacific Air Combat Operations Staff, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Robinson is currently serving as vice commander, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Virginia.
