Harold Tavares Ferreira, 83, of Hilo, a retired state Department of Transportation Highways Division highway inspector and a retired Hawaii Army National Guard sergeant, passed away on July 10, 2014. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by son Mark, daughters Haroldeen Quintal and Natalie Veriato, sisters Lorreta Kim and Lucille Scarborough, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
