F-15 Eagle Association
Retiree News received two emails concerning this F-15 Eagle Association. The association information is posted for Retiree News readers, many of who worked on or flew F-15 Eagles. No endorsement of the F-15 Eagle Association is given or implied by Retiree News.
The F-15 Eagle Association is dedicated to preserving more of the history of the F-15 through first-person accounts and photographs from those who were associated with this highly significant jet fighter. There is no cost to join. We are the home of the Eagle Drivers, WSO, Maintainers, interviews, letters, recons, survivors and snapshots e-newsletters.
We are an independent, all volunteer, non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with McDonnell Douglas or Boeing or any other aviation company. We are also not affiliated with any other F-15 related group. Our F-15 Eagle Association is intended to provide a valuable resource for F-15 related stories, interviews and pictures.
Rick Mitchell is the Association’s founder. He also created the F-84F and RF-84F Pilots Association that has over 170 members in five countries. In 1991, he created Sabre Jet Classics and was its editor for the first two years before giving that publication to the F-86 Sabre Pilots Association. He is a life member of the Sabre Pilots in return for creating their magazine. Rick is the son of a MDANG Group Commander. He is a published freelance writer for more than 31 years with three books of military aviation history and hundreds of magazine length articles.
The F-15 Eagle Association is focused on providing high quality electronic publications. Everything we send is through the internet and there are no paper mailings. Although we charge no dues to receive our e-newsletters, we do require all members to submit at least one F-15 related short story, pictures or other information about their flying, maintenance or other experiences at least once per year, or more often, if possible, in return to contribute toward the legacy of the F-15. The key to the long-term success of the F-15 Eagle Association will be member participation. Without that, there can be no Association.
Developing an Association like ours is another way to share experiences among interested members. Membership is open to anyone who flew, maintained, or contributed to the legacy of the F-15. When you join, tell us in a few sentences how you may be able to contribute your talents through the Association toward continuing the legacy of the F-15 Eagle.
