Thomas Son Tai Kim, 72, of Honolulu, a private security employee with Ali’i Security and an Army veteran, passed away on February 21, 2015. He was born in Honolulu.
He is survived by companion Millie Plaza, daughter Jennifer K.S.K. Lau, brother Richard S.T. and sister Pamela P.S.

Tommy Kim, an Army veteran, was one of the original guards with Ali’i Security. Except for a short period when Ali’i lost the security contract, Tommy has been at his post since the Hawaii Guard ended their security duties. When you arrived in the morning at Building 306, you were greeted by his smiling face.
Tommy Kim will be missed. Aloha Pumehana.
