ESGR Freedom Award

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office, announces 21 Hawaii employers of Guard and Reserve employees have been nominated for the 2015 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.

Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award – This award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve. Each year, Guard and Reserve employees, or a family member acting on their behalf, have the opportunity to nominate their employer for the Freedom Award.

On behalf of the Secretary of Defense, ESGR runs the annual award program, which has presented the honor to 205 employers since 1996.
