Pentagon Announces Medal for Operation Inherent Resolve
Service members taking part in Operation Inherent Resolve are eligible for a new medal. Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced the Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal during the U.S. Central Command change-of-command ceremony Wednesday.
The medal will be awarded to service members who serve or have served in Iraq or Syria as part of the ongoing operation against ISIS, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. – See more at:
