‘Can You Hear Me?’ Scam Warning – Another view
Dozens of news outlets reported on a purported scam wherein fraudsters supposedly falsify charges by randomly calling people and asking ‘Can you hear me?’
The claim: People are being victimized by scammers who call and ask “Can you hear me?” and record the “yes” response in order to use it to authorize fake charges.
