I came upon this Hawaii Military Academy Officer Candidate School Class 06-68 Checklist among some old documents/publications given to me from Ms. Shirley Kauhaihao a couple of years ago. I recognize about 8 of the names on that roster. I’m sure those Retirees who see their names will get a kick out of it and have some great memories.

1LT John Kauhaihao was mobilized during the 29th Infantry Brigade’s 1968 Vietnam Call-Up and was killed in action on 5 September 1969 during combat operations with Co. B, 2nd Bn 8th Cav, 1st Cav Div (Airmobile) in Tay Ninh Province, Republic of Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions.
