Across the nation, Americans are uniting to thank and honor our Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.  In 2008, the National Defense Authorization Act empowered the Secretary of Defense to conduct a program on behalf of the nation that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

The Governor of Hawaii is proud to announce that planning has begun for the State of Hawaii to conduct a “Welcome Home Vietnam War 50 Years” event in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 23-28, 2017.  This international event is being planned by the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemoration Committee from the State of Hawaii.

The parade and events are open to all individuals who served in the military during the Vietnam Era (August 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975).  They can register to participate in the parade by website shown or by calling the number on the flyer.
