Check Six: Hurricane Iniki Recovery – 26 years ago

After Hurricane Iniki hit the island of Kauai in September 1992, the Hawaii National Guard mobilized to assist in the island’s recovery efforts. This photograph shows then-CPT Paul Nanamori and an unidentified soldier dumping trash outside the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
