The Space Force – the Sixth Branch of the Military?

The Defense One website just published three articles about the new Space Force the president requested. However, the Congress did not fund it in the FY19 $716 billion John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

The Congressional debate continues about FY20 funding. Within the Pentagon, there a differing opinions if a space force is really needed, should it be a separate service or part of an existing service.
