Check Six – 1980s: HIANG Hosts Rep. Marumoto
This undated photograph then-Brig Gen Edward Richardson, State Representative Barbara Marumoto, Larnette (Phillips) Doi, and Pamela Goya. They were awaiting the start of lunch at the old dining hall on the second floor of the old fighter hanger.
General Richardson hosted members of the Hawaii State Legislature. These briefings and tours provided legislators and their staffs an opportunity to see Hawaii Air National Guard operations.
Barbara Marumoto was a member of the Hawaii State House of Representatives. She represented Kaimukī, Wai‘alae, and Kāhala. She served from 1978 through 2012, when she did not seek reelection.
