Hawaii Army National Guard (HIARNG) Soldiers bid farewell to Sgt. Kaylen H. Hayashi, a Black Hawk Helicopter Mechanic with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 183rd Aviation Regiment by conducting a water salute honoring his last flight, Wheeler AAF, Hawaii on August 7, 2021.

A water salute is when an aircraft travels under plumes of water shot from fire trucks celebrating Hayashi’s final drill before retirement from the National Guard.
