Henry “Kona” Kamekona Jr., 76, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a heavy equipment mechanic and a retired Army National Guardsman, died at home. He was born on Oahu. He is survived by wife Elvira P., sons Henry III and Armando “Kona,” daughter Dora “Lynny Girl” Wheatley, brother Larry L. Joseph, sisters Gwendolyn Lono and Maxine Awa, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
