Check Six: VE Day – Seventy years ago

Today marks the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).  As part of the celebration in Washington today, there was an Arsenal of Democracy Flyover over the National Mall.

There were 15 flyover formations featuring 19 different World War II-era U.S. aircraft cruising over Washington.
