Air Force Retiree and Veteran Funeral Detail Entitlements

Colonel Kevin J. Gordon, the 15th Wing commander, has altered Air Force retiree and veteran funeral detail entitlements in his August 30, 2016 memorandum to Hawaiian Island funeral homes.

These changes became effective on September 1, 2015 and adheres to the updated Air Force Instruction.

Military Funeral Honors for a retiree include a five-man team, flag folding and the presentation to Next of Kin. There will be the playing of taps and a three-volley salute.
