September Suicide Prevention Month is promoted by the City and County of Honolulu with a proclamation signed by Mayor Kirk Caldwell and presented by Georgette T. Deemer, the deputy managing director at the historic Mission Memorial Auditorium, September 14.

September 2016 is also known as National Suicide Prevention (Awareness) Month which helps promote resources and awareness around the issues of suicide prevention, how you can help others and how to talk about suicide without increasing the risk of harm.
