Military Discounts: Washington DC
Washington, DC, and the surrounding Northern Virginia/Maryland area, is home to six military installations. In an area with public transportation connecting so many people it is a great place to live and visit. For those reasons, and obviously historical ones, DC is a great place to get away to.
You can find just about anything you want to do and see there, including some of the most important places in American history. One of the most wonderful parts of visiting here is that so much of it is already free, which can make tracking down discounts a little tough. Many of the museums and tourist areas are available for anyone to visit without having to pay anything. Make sure to call ahead, and visit one of the local MWR to see what ticket options are available.
