The Department of Veterans Affairs has opened a new site for its . With the new location in Atlanta, the service now has more than 500 call responders and nearly 80 social service assistants. The VA program has fielded more than 2.6 million calls in its nine-year history and intervened with emergency services more than 67,000 times.
