What People With Heart Disease Need to Know About COVID-19
From the Everyday Health website

Everyone needs to be on high alert during viral outbreaks like with the new coronavirus, and that goes double for people with underlying conditions, especially heart disease.
The virus that causes COVID-19 is closely related to the SARS and MERS viruses that have caused past pandemics. Although it has caused more fatalities than its cousins, the mortality rate for COVID-19 in the general population is still considered to be low, likely even less than the current estimate of 3 to 4 percentaccording to the World Health Organization (WHO). However, that rate jumps to 10.5 percent for people who have cardiovascular disease, according to a bulletin released by the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
