Check Six – 2003: HIANG in the 2003 DOD Annual Report

July 24, 2020

The link below takes to Hawai‘i Air National Guard section of the 2003 Department of Defense Annual Report. The Hawai‘i Air National Guard, commanded by Brig. Gen. Darryll D.M. Wong, was comprised of the HIANG Headquarters, the 154th Wing, the 201st Combat Communications Group and the 199th Weather Flight.

The report provides the highlights of the HIANG activities in 2003. There’s a great photograph of a F-117 Nighthawk being refueled by a 203rd Air Refueling Squadron KC-135R. The list of the HIANG commanders and staff will bring back some memories. Many familiar names are now retired but some of the current leaders were younger officers in 2003.
