Museum Director Anne Armstrong shares the history of the Normandy Helmet, currently on display in the National Guard Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.

Lewis Lee Millett began his military career in the Massachusetts Army National Guard in 1938. During the Korean War, in February of 1951, Captain Millett led Company E, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment in arguably the most complete bayonet charge in military history. For his heroism in taking Hill 180, he earned the Medal of Honor. Come see the bayonet on display in the Medal of Honor Gallery at the National Guard Memorial in Washington, DC.
