The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 120,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 5 days for that many people to see it.
Let’s be clear up front: The odds are pretty low that your tax return will be singled out for review. The Internal Revenue Serivce, short on personnel and funding, audited only 0.86% of all individual returns in 2014. The audit rate in 2015 has fallen to 0.84%.
That said, your chances of being audited escalate depending upon various factors, ranging from income level to the types of deductions or losses claimed. Math errors may draw IRS inquiry, but they’ll rarely lead to a full-blown exam. Although there’s no sure way to avoid an IRS audit, these three red flags could increase your chances.

Hawaii Air National Guard retirees remember references to Fort Kamehameha, an area near the 154th Wing complex.
The United States Army owned the area up to several years ago. The Army traded the Fort Kamehameha for Wheeler Air Force Base.
But there is much more to the Fort Kamehameha story.

Dim sum includes char siu bao, a bun with a barbecued pork filling. It is either steamed or baked. Char siu refers to the pork filling; the word bao simply means ‘bun.’ In the islands this Chinese pork cake became known as mea ‘ono pua‘a (‘mea ‘ono’ (delicious thing) as in cake or pastry, and ‘pua‘a’ for pork.) Reportedly, the pidgin adaptation “mea ‘ono pua‘a” evolved to “manapua.”
