Update from NGAUS

The National Guard Association of the United States has posted the following video by retired Maj. Gen. Gus Hargett, the NGAUS president, on the association’s YouTube channel: In this short video, Hargett discusses what’s happened so far this year on Capitol Hill, and outlines what Guardsmembers can expect during the summer and into the fall. He recorded the video in his office at NGAUS headquarters in Washington, D.C.

He discusses the House and Senate defense authorization bills, and details where things stand with an independent commission that will look at the structure of the Total Army. He also talks about the need to resolve the A-10 debate and stay on top of modernization and recapitalization issues in the Air Guard.
