Correction on Earlier VA Form 10007 Post

In an earlier Retiree News post, we provided information on the VA Form 40-10007, Application for Pre-Need Determination of Eligibility for Burial in a VA National Cemetery.

On the form, it provides information about submitting your completed form to the VA – by email, fax or regular mail. However, Retiree News supporter Billy Chang submitted his form by email and received the following response from the VA.

Pre-Need Mailbox Disabled

We are no longer accepting email submission of VA Form 40-10007, Application for Pre-Need Determination of Eligibility for Burial in a VA National Cemetery. We hope to resume this service in the future. We are continuing to process applications via mail and fax.
