With NASA’s latest Commercial Crew Program launch scheduled to take place later this weekend, aircrew and rescue personnel are now prepping to recover the Dragon X capsule in the event of a premature ocean landing.
This time around, members of the 204th Airlift Squadron are staged here at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, expanding their Area of Responsibility to all bodies of ocean around the globe.
The photos in this album showcase the local collaboration between members of the HIANG, 15th Wing, 38th Rescue Squadron, U.S. Space Force and Col. Stephen F. Logan, Hawaii National Guard deputy adjutant general, who came to show his support of this extraordinary operation!
