Check Six – Late 1970s: George Stone

This undated photograph shows Daniel “Stoney” Stone during his preflight. The 199th Fighter Squadron flew F-4C Phantoms from 1976 through 1987. We believe the photograph is from the late 1970s because there is no Hawaii Air National Guard tail flash on the aircraft.

During his HIANG career, George flew F-102 Delta Daggers, F-4C Phantoms and F-15C Eagles. A great pilot.
