We found another photograph taken at the Daniel K. Inouye Fighter Squadron Operations Facility & Aircarft Maintenance Facility on August, 20, 1914. In this photograph are Alexander “Alex” Palama and Cirilo “CV” Valera.
Alex served in the avionics area and retired after his long Guard career. A great technician.
CV served in the munitions branch, who served for many years before his retirement. He passed away in December 2016. A friend to all.

If you’re in your 70s and get 20 minutes a day of moderate to vigorous exercise, you may ward off heart disease in your 80s, new Italian research suggests.
In the study of close to 3,000 Italians over 65, regular exercise was linked with a 52% lower risk of heart disease among men. Women also benefited.
The greatest benefit seemed to occur at age 70. Risk was only slightly lower at 75 and no lower in the early 80s, the study found.

Elmer was a technician in the 201st Combat Communications Group for his entire career until his retirement. He continued his electronic career at a local cyber company until his second retirement.
Larry was a Traditional Guardmember who started in the 154th Wing. He retired as a Safety Technician in the Wing safety office.

Kathy Berg was promoted to brigadier general, a first in the Hawaii Air National Guard. This photograph was taken at the reception that followed the pinning ceremony was in the Governor’s Ceremonial Room at the Hawaii State Capitol.
* Kristen was a photographer and later a First Sergeant in the 154th Wing. In 2016, she and her husband, Chad, relocated to Wisconsin. She continued her Guard career and retired from the Wisconsin ANG. She now serves as the tasting room manager at the Spirits of Norway Vineyard.
* Kathy retired from the Guard after serving in two positions at the then-United States Pacific Command in 2009 and later from her long time position at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
* Sue retired in the early 2000s as the Director of Personnel. She and her husband Bob later relocated to Arizona.
