Check Six: Hq 201 CCG – 31 years ago

December 15, 2017

In the 1980s, the Hawaii Air National Guard purchased CPT word processors for the unit support functions. The CPT system used two 8-inch floppy diskette drives and were used for several years before the first computers – Zenith Z-100s – arrived.

This 1986 photograph has Katherine Asato and Roberta Akana working on their CPT machine. Both Kathy and Robbie retired after long fulltime careers.
