Capping a week of incompetence, failures, and general shady behavior in responding to its massive data breach, Equifax has confirmed that attackers entered its system in mid-May through a web-application vulnerability that had a patch available in March. In other words, the credit-reporting giant had more than two months to take precautions that would have defended the personal data of 143 million people from being exposed. It didn’t.
The Department of the Air Force was created when President Harry S Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947. It became effective September 18, 1947, when Chief Justice Fred M. Vinson administered the oath of office to the first secretary of the Air Force, W. Stuart Symington, a position filled by presidential appointment.
Under the National Security Act, the functions assigned to the Army Air Force’s commanding general transferred to the Department of the Air Force. The act provided for an orderly two-year transfer of these functions as well as property, personnel and records.

In Hawaii, what high school you graduated from is often among the questions asked when you first meet someone. Public versus private, old versus new, town versus county, island versus island – some high school rivalries continue well into graduates’ old age.
The Images of Old Hawaii website periodically publishes articles about various high schools around the state. We will post links about these Hawaii high schools on their website periodically.
McKinley High School (Oʻahu’s oldest public high school) was officially established in 1865, as the Fort Street English Day School by Maurice B. Beckwith. In November 1869, the English Day School moved from the basement of the old Fort Street Church to a new stone building on the corner of Fort and School Streets.
Hawaii National Guard graduates include: Vern Miyagi, Robert Lee, Rex Koga, Gerald Gono, Kyle Kawakami, Alwyn Yoshimura, Samuel Wong, Kenji Sumida, Wayne Iha, Arthur U. Ishimoto, Francis S. Takemoto – Can you name others?

Military families are always on the go, and most times the best way to communicate with loved ones who may be spread throughout the country is with cell phones. That’s why it’s great news that most of the major cell phone service providers offer military discounts on cellular and wireless plans to active duty service members, and in some cases, veterans as well.
Do some comparison shopping to find the right cell phone plan for you and your family.

Who doesn’t love a good fried chicken meal? It’s mouthwatering, satisfying, quick and easy. Today is National Friend Chicken Day, so you might wonder where to get the best friend chicken.
