Check Six – 1963: HANG Compound

Hawaii Air National Guard photograph – click to enlarge

This photograph of the Hawaii Air National Guard compound is undated. But the 154th Fighter Interceptor Group occupied their new compound in 1962. The photograph shows the squadron’s C-47 that was replaced by the C-54 in 1965.

You can see the F-102 Delta Daggers parked in diagonal rows, one of the many parking plans used of the years. There is no supply warehouse; it was build in the mid-1960s. The engine shop facility was build in the early 1970s. A long time ago…

There are instructions in the mailing on how to complete your ballot. The Office of Elections must receive your completed ballets by Saturday, August 8, 2020 for your vote to count.

Everyone has a candidate(s) they support, and some volunteer to work on their election campaigns. Several elections ago, the State’s “Get Out to Vote” campaign used the following motto – it says it all.

Wong, was comprised of the HIANG Headquarters, the 154th Wing, the 201st Combat Communications Group and the 199th Weather Flight.

The report provides the highlights of the HIANG activities in 2003.
